- ⇒ A Study in Emerald, by Neil Gaiman (free audiobook) (link from Mar 31, 2008)
I assume, if you bother to visit my wee corner of the web, that you're a Neil Gaiman fan, as the awesomeness of Neil Gaiman is one of the few things geeks as a whole agree upon. If you've never heard him reading one of his own stories, you can get A Study in Emerald for free from Audible.com. It's a wonderful Holmes-ian story that clocks in at just under 45 minutes.
By the way, I feel obligated to say that this isn't a product placement or referral link for which I get a kickback. It's just awesome and free, and when I found it while browsing Audible, I thought other folks might like it.
- ⇒ Finished ‘Potter’? Rowling tells what happens next (link from Jul 26, 2007)
J. K. Rowling tells a group of fans everything about Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Neville, Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic that just wouldn't fit into the epilogue of Book 7. Fun, and it pretty much matches what I had imagined.
- ⇒ Who Is Snape? - Orson Scott Card (link from Jul 19, 2007)
Card's take on Snape in the context of his use through the first six books of Harry Potter.
- ⇒ Fun and Easy How to Guide to Binding Your Own Paperback Books At Home...FAST (link from Jun 19, 2007)
I have a lot of binders, particularly at work, full of books and manuals that I've printed for reference rather than read online. I may set this up to use at work, or to make a permanent copy of Transformers Version 2.0 when it's finally complete.
- ⇒ The Daring Book for Girls (link from Jun 6, 2007)
A counterpart for The Dangerous Book for Boys is being released from Andrea Buchanan and Miriam Peskowitz this November.
