Is there a good reason to renew my Transformers Club membership?

My subscription to the Transformers Collectors Club, which I joined last year at Botcon, has expired (on my son's birthday). It's $40 to renew. So I ask you, fellow Transformers fans, is it worth it?

What did I get for my $40? I got the exclusive combiner piece from last year (which I sold on eBay). I got a monthly newspaper with classified ads, which went straight into the recycle bin. I got a bi-monthly magazine, with a decently fun comic, and some exclusive images of the Upcoming Universe toys (of which better images were available on the web within a few weeks).

If I were to buy the whole Botcon package, I'd save a few bucks. But I'm not going to be buying the full Botcon package anytime soon.

If I'm a member of the club, I'll be able to buy the repainted Seacons and the Nightbeat figure, if I'm so inclined (right now I'm not, but that could change). I'll also get the new club figure, which is another member of the translucent combiner group.

So, is it worth it? If you're a member, will you be renewing? Why or why not?

I renewed only because I get the Primus package at the Con and then am trying to completely this silly stupid combiner for some reason.

Every renewal time I go through the same thing.

There's not much reason to belong.

However, since I've already reupped, let me know and I can always get the Seacons and Nightbeat for you if you want them.

I have to agree with Nala. I get two Primus packages at Botcon every year (one for me and one for Chrissy), so the savings works out for me. Also, I'd like to finally complete the exclusive combiner. They've been giving basic-sized figures away for the last four years, so the $40 might be worth it next year if we get the deluxe-sized body piece for free.
