The Return of Littlebots - March 2, 2008 1:32 AM
Littlebots, our family's site, has been rescued from defunctedness, dusted off, given a new coat of polish, and is being made ready to host all of the information and updates regarding Baby Dos, who is scheduled* to come into the...

Twitter in Plain English - March 6, 2008 1:01 PM
So many people have mentioned in their congratulatory messages to me and Lori that they loved watching the updates from Warren's birthday on the Twitter. I've posted before, a couple of times, how I wish everyone I know would get...
Generation One Optimus Prime - March 7, 2008 2:55 PM
I've realized that I can't do a review series of Optimus Prime figures without first taking a look at the original. When I speak of 'classic Optimus design elements,' it'd be nice to have something to link to. Of course,...
Is there a good reason to renew my Transformers Club membership? - March 9, 2008 5:12 PM
My subscription to the Transformers Collectors Club, which I joined last year at Botcon, has expired (on my son's birthday). It's $40 to renew. So I ask you, fellow Transformers fans, is it worth it? What did I get for...
- ⇒ I must have this Prime transfer on a onesie (link from Mar 11, 2008)
Check out all of these wonderful kiddie Transformers products the author is putting together! I must have onesies of the Optimus, Rodimus, and Shockwave designs for Warren, and shirts for Veronica.
- ⇒ Transformers Animated Grimlock robot mode images (link from Mar 11, 2008)
Every image of toys from this series, particularly re-imaginings of old characters, makes my wallet hurt. I'm trying to save for law school, damn it Hasbro! Why do you torture me?
Inkjet printer recommendations - March 12, 2008 11:06 AM
In August, I'll be starting law school, and leaving my job of seven years in order to do it. I'm taking stock of all the resources I currently enjoy at work that I'll actually have to buy for my home...
- ⇒ The original ending to I Am Legend (link from Mar 20, 2008)
I'm thrilled to have found a site hosting the original ending for last summer's I Am Legend. This is the ending included on the special edition DVD, and it makes for a completely different film. It maintains the original meaning of the title, where the theatrical release makes the meaning far more generic. Like this reviewer, I loved the movie regardless, but if they'd released it with this ending, it would have been so much better
- ⇒ Premium Movie Leader Optimus Prime (link from Mar 21, 2008)
A short video showing the modifications we'll see in the upcoming "premium" Optimus Prime figure. Looks like that sword arm is extra-sharp, which is absolutely crazy for a Hasbro toy. It also looks like it's got a remolded head, and makes the classic G1 transformation sound when you activate the automorph feature.
- ⇒ Twitter is better than 1,000 photos (link from Mar 22, 2008)
A bit of sentimentality about being able to archive the little things, which I wrote for Littlebots, our family blog.
Armada/Micron Legend Supercon Optimus Prime - March 25, 2008 9:43 AM
Transformers: Armada, for the most part, sucked. It was an interesting experiment; the Mini-cons were a neat idea, and I'm glad they've been carried over into subsequent lines. But all of the fiction, cartoons and comics, made me wince...
- ⇒ Ad Malum! (link from Mar 27, 2008)
My friend Frank, the priest, came up with this wonderful Latin-ish toast a long time ago. Good for all situations, a cry of “Ad malum!” is always well received. I think I'm eventually going to use the domain for my blog-of-a-law-student, but until then, it'll be one of those splash sites that are so popular with the hip internet crowd these days.

Good news! I just left a French battlefield in October 1916, where I shot dead a young Bavarian Army messenger named Adolf Hitler! Not bad for my first time, no? Sic semper tyrannis!
What a fun little story about the future of time travel. Via fairplaythings.
- ⇒ A Study in Emerald, by Neil Gaiman (free audiobook) (link from Mar 31, 2008)
I assume, if you bother to visit my wee corner of the web, that you're a Neil Gaiman fan, as the awesomeness of Neil Gaiman is one of the few things geeks as a whole agree upon. If you've never heard him reading one of his own stories, you can get A Study in Emerald for free from Audible.com. It's a wonderful Holmes-ian story that clocks in at just under 45 minutes.
By the way, I feel obligated to say that this isn't a product placement or referral link for which I get a kickback. It's just awesome and free, and when I found it while browsing Audible, I thought other folks might like it.
