We get it already...

I received this e-mail from the Transformers Collectors Club this evening:

Hello Daniel Hancock!

This is going out to all members. Thanks for your support and help.

We hope you all enjoyed the sneak peak [sic] picture of Sunstreaker we posted in the Members only section of the Club site. With Issue 19 arriving in mailboxes soon we do want to take thisopportunity [sic] to remind everyone that it is against club policy to scan, or in any way duplicate, images from the Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine. So please, out of respect for both the Club and your fellowClub [sic] members, we must againreiterate [okay, I'm not gonna mark any more of them] that images from the magazinemay NOT be scanned and/or posted online in any capacity. Doing so could mean forfeiture of you Club membership and all privileges associated with it.

Thank you for your understanding and as always your support!

Nice of them to let me know they're not singling me out with that second line.

I understand what they're trying to do here, I really do. But that e-mail comes across as really condescending and unnecessary (and poorly conceived, but that's my grammar snobbery poking out). The type of person who would scan the 'exclusive' images and put them on the net isn't going to much care about the guilt of disrespecting other club members, I think. I realize that Transfandom is largely made up of whiny folks who wouldn't be pleased if you gave them a wheelbarrow full of money, but at the end of the night, we're all adults. Except for the few toy club members who actually are children.

Bwa-ha-ha! Adults! Who am I kidding?
