A question about uninstalls on a Mac

I've been cleaning up my MacBook Pro recently, and I've had to re-download the DMGs for a number of programs that used the installer, because the uninstaller is included in the DMG, but doesn't actually get copied to my system anywhere.

Theoretically, if I were to create a folder in, say, Documents, and stick all the uninstallers I need in there, would they still work? I can't think of why they wouldn't, but I don't have anything left to test this with, since I'm not going to reinstall something just to redelete it.

That should work just fine. I've pulled up old dmgs of apps before to uninstall them. It shouldn't matter where the dmgs are since they get mounted as a volume on your system when you double-click them.

Of course, if this proves to be too difficult, I would be glad to uninstall the apps for you. All you have to do is leave your MacBook Pro with me for an indefinite short amount of time. I guarantee you will have less apps then what you started with!
